PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our children's needs are changing rapidly. Receiving or donating second-hand items helps lower the cost of living, reduces environmentally harmful production, cleans objects that no longer serve our child, and makes us feel that we have done something good for our home, our environment and our community.
INTRODUCTION
Mom2Mom is an app designed to help connect moms who want to donate their children's unused clothing and toys OR alternatively receive a donation, around their living area - location based. Mom2Mom also gives an opportunity to create a social, collaborative community of mothers from the same living area & similar worldview.
The project was created during my UX studies at “OnCourse”
RESEARCH
I started my research with understanding the context, who the target audience, age, culture, technological level, complexity, etc. I did some competing research to see what other similar products offer. I thought about some product use cases, came to conclusions and wrote the important notes ,key questions primary & secondary flows.
CHALLENGE
Create an interactive mobile prototype that can make the user experience faster and easier. Understand how to motivate mothers actually use the app and contribute. What their needs are and what are their pain points.
PRODUCT GOAL
Enable moms easily and effectively make a donation of items based on their location while
giving an end to end support during the process - by simple steps.
Create a collaborative community of mothers, with similar worldview in the same living area.
Encourage donations by earning points for each donation the user makes. User points will be converted into purchases / vouchers.
Give more value to mothers by custom content such as articles, blogs, child development etc.
Intuitive and convenient filters.
Location based system.
Real-time chat.
SOLUTION
By creating mom2mom app the user can easily donate unused children's items and get other items from another donor who lives nearby. Earn points for purchases and become part of Mothers donor community.
USER FLOW
Based on the research understanding the user's needs and motivations I created a story line.
This user flow shows the user's path:
SKETCHES & WIREFRAMES
Before creating the design, I started with low fidelity sketches on paper. Then I switched to XD to complete and get the final result, in order to find the best way to show how the users use the application in an intuitive manner.

UI DESIGN
After creating user flow, wireframes, understanding the usability and experience of user design, I started thinking of the visual design process. I made a collection of brand assets to get the overall visual aesthetic of the product - colors, icons, buttons, font sizes, typography and other UI elements.
